The Initiative is proud to provide free training and technical assistance to law enforcement agencies, government and government-adjacent agencies, nonprofit organizations, victim service providers, healthcare professionals, educators, and community partners throughout Colorado.

As Colorado's only organization dedicated exclusively to serving victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and other crimes who identify as having disabilities, we offer specialized training on the intersection of disability and abuse. Our trainings address topics such as trauma-informed and accessible services, effective communication and accommodations, disability competence, victim rights, safety planning, vulnerable adult victimization, barriers to reporting and accessing services, and best practices for serving survivors with disabilities.
In addition to disability-focused training, we provide presentations on domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, caregiver abuse, accessibility, culturally responsive service delivery, and working effectively with historically marginalized communities.
We would be pleased to discuss your organization's specific training needs.
